Import and Export Tools Introduction

If you want to use non-M applications (for example, a PC-based application like Microsoft Excel) to manipulate data stored in a VA FileMan file, then you need some way to exchange FileMan data with your application. VA FileMan V. 22.0 provides the interactive Import and Export Tools for these purposes. These tools are made available to users through interactive options.

VA FileMan V. 22.0 provides an entry point for the Import Tool, FILE^DDMP, and for the Export Tool, EXPORT^DDXP, so that you can incorporate their functionality into your applications.
