Freedom Of Information Act
The VISTA software is available to the public under a law called the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Although some portions of VistA cannot be released to the public for security, license and copyright reasons, the vast majority of it is available open-source.

DVA's Vista Online
The Department of Veterans Affairs VistA software is available online (outside the VA's firewall).
